You show up, I’ll Bucharest.

The people, culture, food, and architecture combine to produce an interesting and unique experience in Romanias capital city. Like a noble with a rich lineage, who has fallen on hard times, the city carries itself with a proud confidence. Showcasing its majestic but slightly tired buildings and infrastructure.

The Palace of the Parliament and surrounding building complex is a beautiful example of what Bucharest has to offer architecturally. The building is massive! “…second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon…” This phrase is so popular I can only imagine it is etched on the buildings corner stone. If I remember my statistics correctly there are over 1000 rooms. Allow me to quote the tourguide to help put this into perspective. “if you spent only 1 week in each room for 3 minutes then it would take over 1 year to explore the Palace” which when you really think about it leaves the brain reeling (there may have been a communication breakdown here but I like to imagine that is an accurate statistic. The building is beautiful with some massive and grand rooms. The building its self is made almost completely out of Romanian sourced materials. It is an impressive example of what can be done when people or a person put their mind to something.
